Mikufan2015’s Album Review #1

My first album review!! This week I will be doing supercell. I have chosen this because it was my first Miku album I had EVER listened to. If it wasn’t for that album, chances are I would not have gotten into vocaloid. Ok! Let’s begin.

Track #1: Love is War

My first Miku track ever. Originally I didn’t have a lot of hopes for the song or Miku to begin with at all, then I clicked play I got trapped in the world of VOCALOID. But seriously getting back to the song itself, the song starts on with simply just a piano or something that transfers into a sort of rock tune. The song sounds way different than what it was the last time I listened to it, it sounds like Miku’s talking through a tunnel though. Ignoring this part, the tune is very catchy. After the rock part it shifts to a classical/rap sort of sound. The song’s lyrics are complicated so I ain’t doin’ it. The song’s rating is 3 out of 5 it really isn’t my cup of tea.

Track #2: Heart Breaker

Something more of my type of music. Heart Breaker seems like the meaning is simple, but Googling the song, it comes to Miku some what talking about her sadness after her breakup (*cough*Taylor Swift*cough*) and she calls this person heart breaker at the end of the song. I really enjoyed this song because it has a really light tone to the song. The rock part was really very expected, though. When Miku starts singing the song becomes very light-hearted. I’ll give it a 4 out of 5. I really liked it! Too Taylor Swift-y though.

Track #3: Melt

Realizing this is only the 3rd track I feel very screwed. The song is about, wait what? She’s sad and happy at the same time, so um she changes her appearance to look cuter and runs into trouble and someone lets her into their umbrella and she falls in love. What a great story! (sarcasm) I would call this an ok song, but really I did not expect this kind of music from Miku when I first started and DAT voice is very squeaky.

Track #4: Black*Rock Shooter

Sorry I couldn’t find a star character, lol. Apparently this is an anime too by this name. I’ll try watching this to see what it’s like, but the opening theme is very promising. There really isn’t anything to describe about this song. I really enjoyed anime theme songs back then so a 4 out of 5.

Track #5: Kuru Kurumaku no Sugoiyatsu

This song sounds like something from an anime more then Track 4. The translated version is unavailable. This song is very mystery theme like. I can’t really describe this song very well either. I would give this song a 2 out of 5, the song really isn’t that great,

Track #6: Line

The song has a really depressing tone. The song is sort of my type of song and still a good tune in its own way. I enjoyed this song because I found it very peaceful to listen to. Not a lot of vocaloid songs I own are this peaceful to listen to other than some Luka songs that I have. I’ll give this song a 3 out of 5. (As some of you noticed the track reviews are getting way shorter because it’s kinda getting late where I am right now. I apologize. My next album review should be way longer.)

Track #7: World Is Mine

5 out of 5 instantly. Yep I said it. I could listen to it over and over forever. I know this is a very well known song and some of you are rolling your eyes because I gave it a 5 out of 5. The song is very catchy (I guess that’s why it’s popular). I still dislike some things about it. The scream at 1:40-1:43 is very out of place, which ruined the song a little for me. Of course 5 out of 5.

Track #8: Hajimete no Koi ga Owaru Toki

Ah yes another song I have to turn off auto-correct for. Belive it or not I have never actually listened to this song when I first got the album. Another song I especially enjoyed in this album. Also sounds like an anime theme song. It even sounds like an anime that I’m watching. (Sword Art Online almost or it’s just me). I would listen to this song for a while as well, since I enjoy anime songs. 4 out of 5.

Track #9: Usotsuki no Parade

First thought when I first heard about this song, It’s gonna be happy and cheery. Well I was wrong-ish. It’s a rock song. The song is very upbeat, (I don’t have a word for it) it also reminds me of some other song but I can’t remember what the song was. I would say this song was great, but it isn’t one of my favorite songs in this album. I can’t tell you what its about. (Writing this while being disconnected.) I would give this song a 3 out of 5.

Track #10: Sono Ichibyou Slow Motion

The song is a very light hearted one, one that makes you think of a happy day. (Though the meaning of the song is probably nothing like what I described it as.) I would listen to this song many times over. I would say it’s a great song, one of my favorites of this album, this also reminds me of another anime theme. (Probably just me.) Overall 3 out of 5.

Track #11: Hinekure Mono

A peaceful song begins. A song that you could relax to. The songs meaning is “The Sulker”. I would say it’s the best song ever, and the song has an interruption in the middle of the song. I would call this my only song to be 4 out of 5. Even so it’s a good song.

Track #12: Mata ne

I’m guessing this was the goodbye part of album. It’s very short and sweet so the only a 2 out of 5.
